A patient’s basic information integration enables an external system to retrieve a patient’s customer information, such as population data and data of next of kin from Lifecare.

openEHR

Dealing with healthcare IT and especially with clinical information is complex. That’s why we have chosen the openEHR data model.

openEHR is the international standard for building clinical data repositories (CDR) that are future-proof and flexible. openEHR templates used within the Lifecare ecosystem will be published in Tieto’s cloud based development platform for developers.

It enables the best utilisation of international and national clinical information and care recommendations, as well as fast organisation-specific adaptation. It is future-proof and flexible. Transparency creates a genuinely customer-oriented ecosystem.

Patient management HL7 interfaces

HL7 messaging service is a flexible way to transmit information from the Lifecare system to third-party systems.

Lifecare Patient management’s HL7 basic messages belong to the ADT messaging family. All messages sent from Lifecare are ADT messages. The structure of ADT messages is in accordance with the HL7 Finland association’s localisation project (documentation version 2.3)

medanets

Medanets point-of-care application for caregivers enables viewing and recording patient data via smartphone. Medanets application frees more care time from multiple data processing, minimizes human error and enables better decision making in accordance with the latest patient data.

The solution is used in 13 hospitals and several healthcare centers using Tieto’s hospital information system.

EBMeDS

The Evidence Based Medicine Electronic Decision Support (EBMeDS) is a program developed by Finnish doctors that combines the latest medical knowledge with patients' health records.

It receives patient information from Lifecare and generates warnings, reminders, suggestions for treatment, and provides links to treatment recommendations. The decision support is connected to Lifecare, where it automatically functions as part of the system.

Reminders are also automatically generated by the drug-drug interactions, contraindications and indication databases, which populate electronic forms and calculators faster when the data can be exported automatically from the patient report.

EBMeDS can be used to address population health management ("departmental decision support").
