Region Stockholm expands partnership with Tietoevry to accelerate its digital transformation with hybrid cloud services – 45000 employees will have modern digital solutions

Region Stockholm has awarded Tietoevry with the outsourcing contract to transform the region's entire IT infrastructure and application environment. As part of the agreement, Tietoevry will provide leading hybrid-cloud and AI-ops capabilities that offers a cost-efficient, future-proof and cohesive delivery model. The contract is valid for five years, with an option for an extension of a maximum of seven additional years with a total contract value of approximately one billion SEK.

Tietoevry’s commitments to Science Based Targets verified

Tietoevry ’s carbon reduction targets have been verified by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as being in line with the level of reduction needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C. This is an important milestone towards Tietoevry’s ambition of becoming net zero in own operations by 2025. 

Connected beehives are being built all over Sweden – collecting data from bees to strengthen biodiversity

BeeLab, an initiative by the Nordic tech company Tietoevry, has been awarded SEK 600 000 in funding from the Swedish Board of Agriculture (Jordbruksverket) to expand the network of connected beehives throughout Sweden. Data collected from the connected hives are used for research and to strengthen biodiversity. With the funding, it will be possible to build and install digital hives in all 25 beekeeper districts in the country.

Tietoevry has decided to exit its operations in Russia. The company sees that in light of the ongoing military activity and the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, the continuation of business in Russia is ethically unsustainable.

The Finnish Posti Group is accelerating its digital transformation with Tietoevry by implementing SAP S/4HANA on public cloud. The companies have signed a three-year contract covering Posti Group’s SAP S/4HANA implementations on Microsoft Azure, which will bring scalability and flexibility to Posti’s core business areas.
