The new digital city

The municipality of Drammen in Norway increases the rate of digitalization and will improve the citizen services with a new case, document and records management system that is transparent secure and empowers the public. 

Future Digital Solutions

Public 360 ° will be rolled out in the respective municipalities that make up the new Drammen municipality already in 2019. The new municipality of Drammen will consist of Svelvik, Nedre Eiker and Drammen municipality, and the solution will cover more than 100,000 inhabitants. The municipal merging will apply from 1.1. 2020.

In the future, the contact will be focused on facilitating increased use of digital solutions. The most effective form of digitization is fully integrated solutions, and many of our specialized systems will be integrated with Tieto's solution. This enables us to facilitate the involvement of our citizens in their own affairs" says Frank Baklid, Digitalization Manager in Drammen Municipality.

The central goal of the acquisition is to create a well-functioning solution for case processing and archives. This is an important foundation for digitizing municipal services and is central to achieving more and better services, an open and accessible municipality, which in turn can contribute to more efficient use of resources and better decisions.

Digitization in practice

The solution uses intelligent technology and technology utilization to help the local employees wherever possible. The solution uses context and content analysis to give the user support when using the solution. The solution is scalable, provides increased accessibility for users and is cost effective. Thus, the processing of documents can be streamlined and result in better public services. User quality is central to all users, and the new Tieto solution enables automated repetitive processes.
