In July 2018, Tieto conducted a study with over 300 Nordic executives from a wide variety of industries across Finland, Sweden and Norway on their views on business innovation. The survey responses from Nordic business leaders form the foundation of the findings in this Towards a data-driven future research.

The survey and the research was conducted by IDC Nordic, on behalf of Tieto.

As the pace of change accelerates, the risk of being disrupted increases. However, the transformation also brings unprecedent opportunities for efficiency gains and business growth to Nordic organizations.

Technology incites immediate change in 70% of Nordic organizations 

Nordic organizations are fast to leverage new technology to become more efficient and customer centric, but are cautious about transforming the actual business models. The stronger the competition and harsher economic conditions, the more likely companies are to transform beyond business optimization, and the organizations that see digital transformation as a threat are most likely to change the business models in the course of time.
